Update
Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. I haven't had a lot of time to cook, let alone blog. Over Thanksgiving break I made my Indian dinner for eight. Fun! I also made hummus and pita last night for history. We had a big Middle Eastern thing and we had to bring in food. I also brought in a pomegranate tea that tasted like gross bananas in hot water.

Indian
Hi! Tonight I made an Indian dinner. We had Tandoori chicken kabobs, naan, hummus, and basmati rice that my mom made. Except for the rice, the recipes were all on http://allrecipes.com/Recipes/Main.aspx. It was better than the Chinese food. Dad and I found a cool little Indian supermarket in Sunnyvale. We also bought pistachio cookies for dessert, but the food was really filling.

Peppermint Fudge Pie
Last night we went to our friends' house for dinner. I was going to make one of the two desserts I still need to make in the NYTC, but I decided that creme brulee would be a little difficult if I had to present it in front of others. I made a peppermint fudge pie from allrecipes.com that turned out tasting great and looking like a reindeer threw up in a chocolate pie crust. It was pink and all the marshmallows floated to the top. At least it tasted a lot better than it looked!

Chinese Night
Hello again! I'm finally back from vacation and already cooking. I made Kung Pao chicken last night. It was really good. We also made rice, stir fried green beans, and egg rolls. It's a good thing that Carrie was at a sleepover, because I got burned and accidentally put too many peppers in. I get to have leftovers tonight.
